There will be DJ entertainment, complimentary hors d'ouevres, and we will be serving up drinks at a cash bar too! BG Productions will be on site to papparazi the event, and to add a little craziness to the mix, the Wilmington Photo Booth Co. will be available for guests to take home complimentary photo strips!
To celebrate the implementation of the same sex civil union law in Delaware, all engaged gay, lesbian and transgender couples are invited to parcipate in ONE LOVE on Saturday, January 7th, 2012. ONE LOVE is a series of activities that culminates in a series of same sex civil union ceremonies that will solemnize the legal union of any gay, lesbian or transgender couples who have obtained a Delaware civil union license and registered to participate. As part of ONE LOVE, the guests of each couple will be able to share in the joy of not just one, but multiple, unions and meet representatives from businesses that welcome the LGBT community with open arms! Among the couples taking part in the ONE LOVE Group Civil Union Ceremony will be three couples who have entered and won the ONE LOVE Couple Contest.
LovelyGirls Events and has partnered with BG Productions, Sodexo Catering, Bliss Unisex Day Spa, and the Wilmington Photo Booth Co. to offer one same sex couple in each category an e-shoot and film trailer to highlight their story at the “One Love” event to be held on January 7th, 2012 at the Delaware Art Museum. “One Love” aims to provide same-sex couples with one part wedding/one part social scene... all in one evening! How is that for satisfying the State of Delawares Title 13, Chapter 2?
Couples who wish to take part in the ONE LOVE Group Civil Union Ceremony are not required to enter the ONE LOVE Couple Contest; however, they will be asked to: RSVP by December 1st and acquire a Delaware Civil Union license between January 2nd and January 6th; and, show proof of licensing upon arrival at the ONE LOVE event. The first five couples to RSVP will be given customer designed invitations by Greenleaf Paperie to mail to their guests. Each couple who RSVPs will be allowed ten guests at the group ceremony. Nondenominational officiants, as well as music, ceremony décor, hors d’oeuvres, and cake will be provided; couples are encouraged to provide any ceremonial elements they desire (vows, ring pillows, toasting glasses, cake cutters, guest books and bouquets/corsages/boutonnieres). A complimentary group toast will take place and a cash bar will be available for additional refreshments.
